Did you hone your skills more with Online Chess or OTB Bullet?

So Jhon, you dont like play while listening to some music? Do you like the Blues? 😀 I guess you could sometimes play bullet with music, and others longer games in silent for thinking :)

Hey John do you feel playing so much bullet has ever helped you on an OTB game?

This session was really entertaining. Thanks!

I think one's relative ability in speed chess comes down to where you place emphasis in your thinking about the game. If one thinks more in tactics, then very few moves can radically change the evaluation of tricks for material gain, which constantly requires fresh thinking. But if one thinks more in strategy, the structure of pieces and weakness of squares last long enough for players to cluster several moves around a particular idea. But, that's just my patzerly uneducated guess. I'm not highly rated.

Nice session, John. And yes, more thematic tournaments! Those were a blast to watch!

Crazy how you can just see that in a bullet game…
